2022 Lexus IS Safety Recalls (1)
Under the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act, manufacturers are required to remedy safety defects and noncompliance with federal motor vehicle safety standards free of charge. Below are the verified recall campaigns for the 2022 Lexus IS.
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2015-2022 Lexus RC, 2016-2020 GS, and 2022 IS vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.
Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the fuel pump assembly, free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed June 5, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 26LB05 and 26LA05.
Does your 2022 IS have incomplete recalls?
Safety recalls apply to specific VIN numbers. You can check the complete 17-character VIN on the federal NHTSA portal to verify if previous owners have had these free repairs completed.
